Education, not medical advice
The content on this site is general patient education. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation and not a substitute for an examination by a clinician who knows your history and has looked inside your nose. Do not use it to decide that a finding can wait, and do not use it to decide about a further operation without that examination.
Findings that are emergencies
Nothing on this site overrides the routing that appears at the top of every page. Breathing that keeps worsening, a nose that is swelling fast, bleeding that will not stop or that restarts after settling, and skin over the tip or bridge turning white, dusky, blistered or black require emergency care rather than further reading and rather than a review appointment.
No guaranteed outcome
No operation described here can be guaranteed, and a revision in particular cannot promise a better result than the operation it is correcting. There is usually less cartilage available the second time, more scar tissue between the layers, and a tighter skin envelope. Where this site describes a typical course, it describes a range drawn from general experience rather than a commitment about your own case.
Results are judged after healing
A nose continues to change for roughly a year, so an early appearance is not a final one and an early judgement is usually wrong in both directions. The review points described on this site are the ones at which a result can honestly be assessed, and a revision planned before then is planned from a shape that no longer exists.
